Nate Chapman

My professional career has been managing operations and serving the community. The first twelve years I worked for large supermarket chain in retail management positions as well as category management at the corporate level. My wife and I decided to dip our toes into the
entrepreneurial pond and opened a landscaping company servicing both commercial and residential customers.  After eight years I shifted gears for a better work/life balance while our children were still young and took a management position for a regional trash and recycling company. After several promotions, I was responsible for half the state of Maine providing residential, commercial, and industrial services for Town and City municipalities, managing over 300 employees and servicing 1.2 million customers a month.  My success has come from my internal drive, the trust of others, my ability to lead, and the focus on exceptional customer service.

I was born, raised and a lifelong resident of the State of Maine. My wife and I believed it was a great place to raise kids and make lifelong friends.  Now we are at the stage of being empty nesters and wanting to live in a warm climate year-round. Florida checks the boxes for us but
what we weren’t expecting was how much we would love Southwest Florida and particularly the charm of Ave Maria.  We bought in the National at Ave in 2021 and have never looked back. We have made so many friends and have become part of this amazing Town and community.

Jason Fithian

My wife Vanessa and I are full-time Ave Maria residents and moved here two years ago from the Ft Lauderdale area.  I am fully retired after serving 24 years as a Deputy Sheriff (Lee County Sheriff’s Officer} and Police Officer (Fort Lauderdale Police Department), only ending my career due to injuries sustained in a vehicle accident on duty. I believe everything that has happened to me personally, has happened for a specific reason, leading me to live here with all of you in Ave Maria.  During my career, I have supervised high level narcotic units, handling millions of dollars of cash and drugs, investigated bank robberies and homicides with everything in between.  These experiences and others have taught me how important it is to be detailed in planning, considering the thoughts of others, weighing priority and the importance of security.  I believe in being transparent and honest in all that I do.

I currently live in The National and have watched it grow from a pro shop located in a trailer and dust storms on the golf course to a semi-mature golf course that is the envy of SWFL.  I have cherished becoming part of the Ave community and look forward to providing safety, security and outstanding customer service to its residents.
